Things I'm loving right now....(First post)

Ok, so I thought that I would start posting some things that we are loving at our house for those of you that are interested. This will be an ongoing list, instead of one long post! (Especially after reading that music post, I'm sure your eyes are tired!)

#1 Divided plates in fun summer colors! :)

My SIL, Kelli (she reads my blog, yeah!) informed me of this first item. See, I know that divided trays exist- I mean, I was in elementary school and remember the lunch room a little bit!

But what I didn't know was that they were available to the outside world. So when I was perusing the aisles at Wally World and spotted these little plates for a whopping .97 I grabbed a few (and I'm going back to grab a few more!!)

This is Lauren's lunch one day last week. Cute, huh? Does she eat her food any better on a plate, you ask??

Not really.

But it's cute...and it teaches her to eat off something besides her high chair tray. So that's all that matters, right?!

Plus, as Kelli pointed out, it helps me remember to try to include foods from the various food groups and also make sure that everything Lauren is eating is not white. or orange. or yellow.

In the past week or so, my child has turned into a toddler for sure. She used to eat anything and everything that we would put in front of her. We fondly referred to her as "the human garbage disposal" and mused amongst ourselves why she didn't weight twice what she does.

Then, all of a sudden, my little girl started getting sorta picky. For example, on Friday, I prepared her a divided plate with several delicious choices, including macaroni and cheese (her all-time, favorite thing) (currently). What did she eat, you ask?

4 grapes.

Seriously. Out of all the things on her plate, Lauren ate 4 grapes and then signed "all done!"

God, help me! :)

So, check back as I will add to this list when I have time!

And, BY ALL MEANS, if there is something wonderful that you love right now, let me know about it, please! :)
