the little things...

Jason and I have been married for 8 years in October! I can't believe that it has been that long already...sometimes I really believe that whole "time flies" saying is true!

Now, in the past 8 years, things have not always been perfect! We have had our share of ups and downs...but I think that can be said for any marriage! But the things that I appreciate most about Jason are the little things that he does.

For example, he is more than happy to help around the house with pretty much anything, I just have to ask him first and not assume that he will just "know" what needs to be done! (I learned that the hard way!!)

So, last night, he was headed down to the office in our basement to do something on the computer. I had just finished re-reading "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" before we saw the movie last weekend, and the book was still sitting in our living room (surprise, surprise!) Since he was headed in that direction, I asked him to take it with him and put it on the bookshelf with the other ones.

Jason didn't mind at all, and I told him (again) "just stick it on the white shelf with the other HP books, there's a spot where it's missing...you can't miss it!"

Today, when I came down to the office to check email, I couldn't help but laugh. Here is the spot that the Harry Potter book should have gone....

See? Right there, on top of the orange-colored "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". See that BIG, empty spot?

On the OTHER white book shelf, next to the "Twilight" series books! :) I thought that was just so cute! He did what I asked, he put the book on the white shelf, next to some other big books that looked the same color. :)

I appreciate him doing something little like that for me, even if he didn't do it just like I would have wanted! (Guess I should be more specific next time!)
