picture day!

We were up bright and early this morning for a little trip to Maryville. We met our photographer, Jamie Weiss at Maryville College for an outdoor shoot with Lauren. (These are in place of her 12 month pics, that we never managed to get done when she was 12 months! HA!)

It was already hot at 9:30am, and SUPER humid. (not to mention the mosquitoes that were everywhere...they had a field day with the 3 grown-ups, but didn't bother Lauren, thank goodness!)

Lauren was not in the best of moods, since I had woken her up leave. She was not her normal smiley self, but I think that some of the pics are going to be great! Jamie is great with kids and really laid back and won't "push it" if the kids are just not into a shot.

For example, there was this hammock that we sat Lauren in...and it would have been such a cute picture...had she not screamed in terror. (surprise, surprise, I told you she's afraid of everything!!) Jamie said "that's ok" and we went over to another place to try some more pictures.

She took pics of Lauren in front of a wooden fence and trees, an old barn, a white picket fence (sooo cute and "Americana" looking!) and even pulled out a pink tulle tutu and a white wicker child's size chair for some last shots. I CAN NOT WAIT to see the pics. She's gonna be out of town, so we will have to wait about 3 weeks to see the proofs. Oh, well. I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

I couldn't believe how much of a big girl Lauren was, standing outside and walking in her little dresses! It seems like just yesterday that Jamie took these pics of Lauren!

I've got to finish some laundry, Jason is making french toast for us for supper and then we are going to church in the morning. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
