feeling young :)

Well, this morning I had my follow-up appointment with a urologist for my kidney stone.  Needless to say, this is my first time seeing this type of doctor.  I arrived promptly at 9:37 for my 9:30 appointment (I couldn't find the office!!)

Anyway, when I walked into the waiting room, it was all I could do to not bust out laughing. Ya'll- I was the ONLY person UNDER THE AGE OF 60 (maybe 65) in the room!!  I guess that is probably the norm at a urologist's office, but it kind of took me by surprise...I just wasn't expecting to be in a room with 10-15 people who were more than twice my age.

One little old lady was about 80 and she came in carrying her urine specimen cup- but it was full!  And double-bagged in zipclocks, no less.

Anyway, the doctor said that the stone seems to be "on the way out" judging by the symptoms and pain levels I described to him (I'll spare you the details).  So, hopefully, I will be stone-free very soon!

I have to follow-up with the urologist next week, and I will be taking Lauren with me next time.  Wonder what all the old folks will think of us?? :)

Don't feel too bad Sarah, the first time I went to see the urologist was with my 1 year old and the appointment was for him not me. When they called his name everyone said, "awwww."
