I was 37 weeks (minus 1 day) PG and as big as a house!! I was tired, swollen and constantly hot! My doctor had said at my 36 week checkup that my blood pressure was creeping up and he put me on "modified" bed rest. He told me to monitor my bp all weekend from home and come back on May 19 (which was a Monday morning last year!) If my blood pressure was not lower, he said "we" would have to see about having this baby a little early.
Gulp.
I just knew that was going to happen.
See, I'm a planner. I had everything planned out. My preschool class's graduation was Monday, May 19 and I just wanted to get through the graduation and THEN Lauren could be born. Any day after that.
That was my plan.
But I sure enough had the whole car packed Sunday night for the doctor's appointment the next morning. Like, packed with hospital bags for me, Jason and Lauren!
I just knew that my blood pressure wasn't going down enough and that my doctor wouldn't risk my health or the health of my baby if it was still high.
*NOTE: If you are one of my few blog readers and are not the least bit interested in reading about my reminiscing of my baby being born a year ago....do not read my blog for the rest of the week! :) I promise no gory details of her birth...but I can't promise that I will not continue to document my memories because this is my blog and I can if I want to! :)**

I am loving reminiscing with you! You have inspired me to reminisce on my blog too! I can't wait to hear more about the "journey" to meet Lauren!
I'm looking forward to a week of reminiscing with you. Right now I love hearing people's baby stories since I'm working on my own. :)
Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm glad to know that we share such great taste in baby names!
