Trip to Veteran's Park

Has the weather been beautiful this week, or what? The high has been in the upper 80's everyday this week and that seems like such a break from the 90's for some reason! I haven't blogged much, because I've been too busy outside, soaking up this great weather!

Lauren and I have gone for walks several times this week and at 9am, it's only about 70 degrees! It's been really nice. I ran into my friend Mindy, who I worked with at Bath and Body Works before I started teaching. She had a baby boy almost 2 years ago and apparently she walks at the same place that we do. Yeah! We exchanged numbers and promised to get together to walk. I love meeting other mommy friends in my area. (although I love being home with Lauren, it's sometimes a "lonely" job!)

ANYWAY, Jason came home one night this week and suggested a walk over at Veteran's Park. I dug out the pink tennis shoes that Kelli had given Lauren and they fit this time!! They were sooo cute on her! We loaded up in the 'hoe and headed over to the park. (it's sad that we have to drive to the places where we walk!!) (but that's part of living in TN...lots of hills!)

We were there for about 45 minutes. It was nice because it was shaded and was flat and had lots of paved area for Lauren to walk around on. Then she got tired....

It was fun to get out and go someplace new as a family. (I think we get bonus points for finding something fun to do that's FREE!) :)
