We decided to let Lauren stay in AL one more night with the grands, so I had to drive to Gadsden to pick her up today. My mom came along for the ride and then we met Jason in Cleveland on the way back home for supper.
Miss Lauren took a 30 minute nap about 12:30 today and that was it. So when this little girl got back home to her own crib, in her own room, in her own house, she was "out" in less than 5 minutes. Apparently- charming the grandparents with all her cuteness just wore the girl out! :)
I'm so glad to have her back home! I think she changed in the 3 days that she was gone because she looks less like a baby and more like a little girl every time I look at her! Can't believe she's almost 15 months old! (sniff, sniff!)
While Lauren was visiting, I managed to get a TON of stuff done around the house. Including some serious dusting, vacuuming, sorting of clothes and books, and general straightening of the casa. I have also been hard at work tagging clothes to consign at our JBF Sale that starts next week.
I am hoping to make a little $ to support a new hobby or 2 (more about this later!) I have also decided to have a "teacher sale" and get rid of a lot of my school items to make room (and $) for these previously mentioned mysterious new hobbies. :)
And NO- I'm NOT trying to suggest that I am pregnant with twins! This is NOT the kind of hobby I am into right now! :)
So, I've been a busy girl, but things are back to normal now that Lauren is home and we can resume our regularly schedule broadcast. Um, which is otherwise known as -our crazy life!
Is anyone else's August calendar jam-packed full? I mean, there is something going one EVERY DAY from now until the end of the month for us, no kidding.
(Well, at least it will provide lots of blogging material for all my faithful readers!)
Stay tuned....

Oh My gosh I wish I had known about that website. Luckily for me it worked out.. but for people that decide it's not for them.. what a great resource. (Have you heard of diaper swappers? You can buy and sell used diapers.. they seem to retain a lot of their value). I mainly decided to go cloth for 2 reasons. Cost (I know it's late in the game for Madison, but we plan on having more kids and will use these on that baby) and for the chemicals in the diapers. I know tons of babies have worn them, but it's like the BPA bottles... As soon as that info came out I went and traded mine in for BPA free bottles. I will still use disposables for certain situations... but if we're doing our normal thing.. I'll put her in the cloth. It is an initial investment.. but on that same website (Kelly's Closet) it proves out the cost savings. Let me know if you want me to send you the link!
P.S. I know it's hard to be away from your baby! After I got back from my girls' trip I couldn't get enough of Madison!
