MOPS (Part 2)

I really enjoyed the MOPS meeting this morning! I was there early, because the website said that they began at 9:15 and they start at 9:30...but that was ok, because I would MUCH rather be early than late!! It gave me time to find my way around the church (we don't attend there) and get Lauren checked into her "Moppets" class. What they did with those kids for 2 and 1/2 hours, I don't know!!

This year's "theme" is "Life on Planet Mom" and they talked about how God created us for relationships. So true! :) Being a mom (especially if you are a stay-at-home mom) can be very lonely and overwhelming when you feel like you are by yourself. So I think it's a good theme that everyone can relate to.

The tables all had names that had to do with Life on Planet Mom and I was assigned to the "Milky Way Moms" table. That was fine with me...because as you can guess, this involved chocolate! I liked the other moms at my table, but 3 of them came in together and insisted on whispering and talking to each other during the whole meeting and it was rather rude and annoying. Maybe they won't sit together next time! :)

When I went to pick Lauren up, she was busy trying to get as many cheerios as she could during snack time from her group leader. I was so proud.... Ha! When we got home, she was sooooo tired and started playing with her lunch, I just had to put that little girl to bed. (she was done eating, don't worry!) She is sound asleep now and hopefully will be in a better mood when she wakes up so we can run to Walmart.

I need to go get a few things done around the house before Lauren gets up! We are so ready for our trip to Mobile this weekend for our nephew Jackson's 4th Birthday party!! How is it possible that he is already 4? (he was the first-born grandchild, but it doesn't seem like that was 4 years ago!! Wow!) I can't wait for Lauren to get to play with all her little cousins!!

I'm trying to get plugged into a MOPS group, but I can't get a reply to my email confirming the meeting time/place.

It's really fun, Manda! (and, hey...it's 2 1/2 hours of free babysitting for your girls once a month! :)
