pics of Lauren and prayer request

I cannot possibly do any more posts without some new pictures of Lauren! These were taken at the park by a friend of ours a few weeks ago. (He has a really nice, big, camera and did them for free! :)

Everything started out well.....

But, then nap time started to roll around. And someone started to have a little meltdown...

So, we stopped for a juice break. (even supermodels need to stay hydrated!!)

By this time, Lauren was pretty much done, so we quit while we were ahead!!

Tomorrow morning, Lauren and I are going to my doctor (again) (for the 3rd time in 3 weeks)!! I have already had an exam, and blood work, followed by a 3-hour glucose tolerance test and tomorrow morning will be an ultrasound. WAIT!! Before you start thinking I'm pregnant...I'M NOT PREGNANT!! I am just having these tests done to rule out PCOS...which my doctor suggested before I got pg with Lauren when I went off my BC pill. I don't want to give TMI....so, I will just say that they are checking tomorrow for cysts on my ovaries (apparently no big deal) and then they will discuss the results of the glucose test from last week.

PCOS, or Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome is fairly common and definitely treatable, but it's not a disease, it's a condition, so it can't be "cured." Women with PCOS may have difficulty becoming pregnant...and although God blessed us with Lauren, we DO hope to have more children one day, so this is something that I am sort of anxious about (but trying NOT to be!!)

So, I am requesting your prayers tomorrow that I'll have peace about whatever the doctors say and that I won't get stressed and worried for nothing!! :)

Worst case scenario....my blood work would show some kind of insulin resistance in which I may have to change my diet and take a daily medication. If we were to try to have more children, we might end up having to use fertility medicine to "help things along," as the nurse so gently put it.

Best case scenario: none of the above and we turn into the Duggars! HA!!! :)

I'll update when I know more...thanks in advance for your prayers!

And, if this was all too much information for you, I'm sorry and you don't have to read this blog ever again! But it's MY blog, so I guess I can write what I want to!
