Lauren's Fashion Friday 9/11/09

Happy Friday, everyone!

Today, Lauren is wearing an outfit that Jason's Grandmother bought for her before she was born. I love, love, LOVE it and have had it hanging in her closet for the last 12+ months just waiting for her to get to an 18 months size (which she has been wearing for about 2 months now, so this isn't the first time she has worn this!)

The outfit is a "romper" or "sunsuit" depending on which term you use for it. What do I love about it?

Everything.

I love that the fabric looks like a shabby chic patchwork quilt and it feels sorta "quilt-y" as well. I love the little pink bows on the shoulders! I love that it's girly and feminine without "shouting" it. :)

(but don't get me wrong, I love bold, bright girly colors sometimes, too!)
And I mostly love how it looks with some little socks with a pink rosebud on them and these adorable shoes I found at Target a while back (yes, I realize it's after Labor Day and Lauren is wearing white shoes...I think that rule does not apply to babies! :)

Sigh.... I wish she'd stay this size a little longer so she could wear this about 100 more times! :)
(maybe I'll just let her wear it everyday until it gets cold!) (people may start to stare, though!)

See? It's even suitable for wearing to Dairy Barn for ice cream and then a little "outdoor play" on the back of daddy's truck!

Put her in it every day. It is beautiful. Who cares if people stare. The people at Home Depot know Ada by the site of her Super Girl Costume. She wears it every day, and seems to have it on whenever Daddy needs to go to the Depot.
