Well, we have survived our first 2 days in the apartment alone (I guess Jason had to start his new job sometime!). But Lauren and I have not been able to leave, because Jason took the Tahoe (with the carseat) because he thought it would be safer on the slippery roads than his truck...and he was probably right!
Since we have been "stuck" inside, I emptied the rest of the boxes of random "stuff" sitting around. There is one more left in the kitchen, and I'm seriously thinking of just throwing the whole thing in the trash! I can't find a place for any of it, and it's nothing that we just "need."
Oh, the joys of "downsizing" where you live!
Lauren has watched excessive amounts of Nick Jr, and played dress up in my boots, slippers and wedding veil (of all things...it got packed accidentally and moved here)
Isn't she a beautiful "bride!?" I don't even want to think about that!!
She has to live at home with us forever! :)
Then, I attempted to get some laundry done. I am so excited to have my laundry room on the same floor of the house as the rest of our rooms! At our other house it was in the basement- no fun!
Anyways, I sorted all the laundry into piles in the living room (right next to the tiny laundry room). This is what it looked like when Lauren "re-sorted" it for me while I folded what was in the dryer!
Ha! Just keepin' it real!
And Lauren has a habit of getting our dirty clothes (she's not interested in the clean ones as much for some reason...??) and WEARING THEM!! She has a "passion for fashion", I guess.
Here she is sporting some of Jason's undies. (He will probably not be pleased with me for showing this!)
She was so proud of her wardrobe choice!
But I quickly removed them and stuck them in the wash! :)
Tomorrow, Jason is planning to drive his truck to work, so Lauren and I will be venturing out to Hobby Lobby, Target, Kohl's or Tuesday Morning. (we are just going to get out of this aparment for a while!!) I am so excited to be close to this many stores- too bad we are watching our money closer than when we lived 30 minutes away from them! God is teaching me a lesson here! :)
