I feel so blessed to be a mommy this year on Mother's Day! It's still hard for me to comprehend how someone so small could come into my world and completely turn it upside down. Since becoming a mom I am more emotional, and more nurturing! (I guess you could say being a mom has turned me into a "softie.")

Lauren is the most important part of our lives now and I can't imagine what life would be like without her! I love being a mommy to Lauren and thank God every day for the blessing of her!! I am definitely not the best mom and far from even being a good mom...but I keep trying, knowing that God has given me this job for a reason; "From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more. " Luke 12:48

I pray that Lauren will see Jesus' love in me and that I can raise her to know Him!

Here is a poem that I read the other day and thought it was so great.... Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!

"Everyday I Have my Child to Raise Over Again"
by Diane Loomans
Everyday I have my child to raise all over again.
I will build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I will finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I will do less correcting, and more connecting.
I will take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I will care to know less, and know to care more.
I will take more hikes, and fly more kites.
I will stop playing seriously, and seriously play.
I will run through more fields, and gaze at more stars.
I will do more hugging, and less tugging.
I will see the oak tree in the acorn more often!
I will be firm less often, and affirm much more.
I will model less about the love of power, and more about the power of love!
