We all went to church together this morning...even my mom came along with us. I missed the whole sermon because Lauren was being really loud and when I went to take her to the nursery, it looked to full for me to feel comfortable leaving her. So I have no idea what words of wisdom the pastor had for mothers today, because I was in the "nursing room" trying to rock Lauren to sleep or just get her to be still! After church we went to lunch at Schlotzsky's and then Lauren took a 3 hour nap!
We had a nice meal last night with my mom, but I have no pics because we ate it all too fast; and then Jason had already cut into the fruit pizza before I could manage a pic. You'll have to use your imagination...it was all very yummy!
I got 2 wonderful gifts for my first mother's day...a little hand-made book from "Lauren". Inside were pictures of me with Lauren (a rare thing, since I usually am the one taking the pics!) I think Jason may have helped her a little. It was so sweet!
And I also got a beautiful "mother's necklace" that I love! I wore it to church this morning, but have to go and get a longer chain ASAP...I can't stand the length of the ones they sell in the store...maybe they are not made for people with fat necks like me! Ha!

Overall, it was a really nice 1st Mother's Day! This afternoon, we took a another trip to my school and picked up 4 Rubbermaid tubs FULL of books, and there are more still at school! Wow! I never realized how many books I had accumulated in the last 4-5 years! I should have bought stock in Scholastic! :)
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies ~especially all my fellow Judson girlies celebrating their first mother's day this year as well.
