Let me just say that I am not a very good decorator. I have a really hard time making decisions and when I do see something that I like, it is hard for me to figure out what else will go along with it.
Lately, I have been reading a lot more blogs that pertain to home decor, decorating on a budget, thrifty decorating, etc. And they have sort of lit a fire under me to get some things in my house finished. ( I mean, we've only lived her for 4 years....why shouldn't my house be completely decorated by now? Ha!)
I really want to find some sort of shelf for my side of the bed to house all my books, Bible, and some picture frames, etc. Jason has the night table that is a part of our bedroom set on his side of the bed because it has the alarm clock and little fan on it (don't get me started on that fan!)
So I think that I have finally found a shelf that I LOVE....I actually saw a pic on someone's blog and emailed them to ask where they found it. Pier 1!
I haven't shopped at Pier 1 in forever, so I went online to see if I could find it.
*I just noticed it sort of resembles a changing table! HA!!*
Um.....I think I will have to find a Plan B.
Although it is PERFECT for my side of the bed and would hold everything and look super-cute, I am not paying $200+ for a book shelf!!!
So my quest continues....I may even start scouting some yard sales on Saturday mornings. I could always paint it if it's not the right color. (that's the beauty of having black furniture vs. wood-stain colored furniture in your room!!)
Wish me luck!
And on a 2nd note, I am on a quest to find 2 oval picture frames (regardless of color, I'm gonna spray paint them white!) to frame wedding pictures of Jason's parents and my parents. I LOVE wedding pics framed in oval frames. It just feels more old-fashioned and traditional.
These are for my wall gallery that will eventually go up my stairs and include lots of pics of Lauren! (of course!!)
I have looked for some on ebay, but they are ridiculously priced, so I'm gonna try yard sales and/or thrift/antique stores for these. I just need to talk Jason into babysitting Lauren while I shop for these items.... :)

Good luck on your decorating quest. I love the bookshelf you picked out, but agree it is not worth the price (and I also thought it looked like a changing table). I love this time of year because of all the garage sales, also if you have any great thrift stores near you, these are great places as well!
Good luck with finding the perfect bookshelf. Make sure to check things like Craigslist as well. People are always getting rid of stuff. I just recently painted a table black that I've had for almost a year and a half and just love it! Spray paint is so transforming!
