our daily schedule

NOTE: The above picture has basically nothing to do with this blog....but I just love to post pics of Lauren covered in food :) She was finishing off the last bite of Jason's creamsicle. And she thought biting the popsicle stick felt good on her gums!

I read a post over at Kelly's (if you don't read her blog...you really SHOULD!!) where she blogged about Harper's daily schedule. I WISH I had done this every month during Lauren's first year. It would be neat to look back and see how far we've come!!

Anyway, it sort of inspired me to get a record of our daily schedule, now, at one year, so Lauren will be able to read it one day. (and I'm sure my faithful blog readers are dying to know what we do each and every day, right?!)

7:30-8:00am Lauren wakes up, we change her diaper and play in her room for a few minutes while I pick up toys, put away clothes, etc.

8:00-8:30 I make breakfast for both of us, and we eat

8:30-9:00 clean up breakfast, playtime in living room and (sometimes )we watch Dora the Explorer

9:15ish If it's not raining, we go for a walk (either on our street, the park or over by City Park Elementary) for about 45 minutes

10:00 Lauren takes her morning nap

• I take a super-quick shower


• unload and re-load the dishwasher


• start a load of clothes (and check email)


• make the bed


• pay bills, make phone calls


• begin cleaning whatever room is on the daily schedule (today it's kitchen)

11:00 or 11:30 Lauren wakes up from her nap, I get her dressed and we play and read books in her room

12:00 lunch

12:30 outside- even if it's raining (as long as it's not storming!) we will play on the porch in her water table and if it's not raining, I might push her around the culdesac in her pink car

1:30 clean up from outside (sometimes change Lauren's clothes again)

2:00 Nap time for Lauren! :)

• I finish cleaning whatever room I started in the morning (I do the "messy" stuff like dusting, sweeping and mopping while she is asleep)


• I put the morning load of laundry in the dryer and start load #2


• I read some blogs and sometimes post one of my own, see what everyone is up to on facebook and sometimes read or watch a little tv before Lauren wakes up

4:00 or 4:30 Lauren wakes up and we have a snack and (sometimes) go visit Grammy (my mom who lives 2 blocks away)

5:00 We clean up the trail of toys and books Lauren has drug out during the day and wait for daddy to get home

5:30 Lauren has supper

5:30-6:30 Jason gets home, Jason and I eat a quick supper

6:30 we might take Lauren on a walk or play with her outside again

7:00 playtime in her room, bath, story and bed (for Lauren)

7:30/8:00 Jason and I are FREE! :) We usually go downstairs where Jason watches tv and I use the computer...then we switch! Or we both watch something together...like the Food Network or some TLC show

11:00 We usually head to bed!

Wow, we lead such an exciting life right now! :) And now Lauren can look back and see what her life was like when she was 1.
