trip to Gatlinburg

Last Sunday, we decided to drive up to Gatlinburg with Jason's parents.  We booked a condo at The Cherokee Lodge in Pigeon Forge.  It was so nice!  It had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen (which kept us from having to eat out constantly!)

We went to Cade's Cove on Monday.  The leaves were gorgeous!  We even ate a picnic lunch while we were there. 

Lauren loved walking around and picking up all the rocks.

She really wanted to pick up this great big rock that she is sitting on! :)

Tuesday morning, it was raining..so we headed to the outlets, but didn't do too much shopping.  I put Lauren on this old firetruck to take a picture.  Doesn't she look thrilled?  She wanted to get down as soon as the picture was taken!

Then we got home and unpacked and Lauren got to play with her most favorite thing right now....a ball.  To say that she is obsessed with balls would be an understatement. 

If she sees something that looks even remotely round (like a street light or a wheel, etc.) she points and yells "BALL!"  It's really cute.

She also likes to sit on this ball.  It's really funny.  She will back up sooooo slowly until she's hovering right above it, an then lower herself down and bounce up and down on it.

I see an exercise video in her future.  Ha!

We had a great time in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg with Jason's parents- and we found a new place to stay if we don't want to go back to the cabins we love!
