Bday Photo Shoot

Now, you might be thinking, "hey...wasn't Lauren's birthday in May!?"  Yes!  But, sadly, I never even got a picture of her in her special birthday outfit.  (Does this make me a bad mom, I surely hope NOT!)

See, her party was rained out and we had to set up inside.  Then, my parents arrived, but needed me to meet them so they could follow me to Jason's parent's house for the party.  By the time we got back, everyone was there and the party was beginning and I had not taken any pics of Lauren. 

Then, she got her cake and totally covered herself in hot pink frosting! 

After a quick bath,

we put her in the "back up" outfit to open presents

By the time everyone was gone and we cleaned up, I realized that I had not taken any pictures of Lauren in her birthday outfit. 

After we got home, I kept meaning to dress her in it and snap some pictures, but just never got around to it. I have been packing up Lauren's special clothes to give to her one day and there was the birthday outfit....and still, I had no pictures of her in it!

So, while Jason's parents were here last weekend, I mentioned that to his mom.  Well, Granna would not hear of this, so she told me to put the outfit on Lauren and she'd help me get some pictures.  I was afraid that it wouldn't fit, but "low and behold" it fit and was so adorable!

Sooo....here are pictures of my 17 month old in her special First Birthday outfit!  Enjoy! :)

Maybe she'll never notice the difference if I put these in her baby book!  :)
