weekend plans

I love when I can say that our weekend plans are to have no plans!  But it hasn't happened yet! :)

Lauren blessed us by sleeping until 9:00 this morning, and then she watched Dora while I fixed breakfast (Jason was still in bed!)  After gobbling up some scrambled eggs, Lauren was ready to go!

She and Jason have been outside, cleaning out my car and then they are going to get it vacuummed and washed at the car wash (Lauren used to be terrified of the car wash until we told her it was a "bath" for the car!!)

I put a roast with carrots, potatoes, etc. in the crock pot to take to one of the girl's from church who just had a baby.  We all signed up for days to make a meal and today is mine!  I also made a lemonaide pie for her family for dessert!  Yum!!  Thought I might share the recipe:

Lemonade Pie

Ingredients:

Pre-made graham cracker pie crust
1 (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, chilled in fridge
1 (12 oz.) whipped cream, thawed
¾ cup frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed

1. Combine milk, whip cream and fold gently.
2. Add lemonade and fold. DON’T let mixture become soupy!
3. Pour into pie crust. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight.

This is so yummy!  Sweet with just enough tart -sort of like key lime, but better! :)  I always add a little more whipped cream on top when I serve it!

While the roast cooks in the crock pot, I am going to be busy trying to straighten up our apartment because Jason's parents are coming and will be here until Wednesday.  We are so excited to have them come visit (although we know they are really just coming to see Lauren). Haha!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  We are enjoying this nice weather while we can...it's supposed to get cold again for a few days.  Yuck.  Our toes are ready for flip flops!!
